beyond drawing - non-traditional approaches
Drawing lends itself to expanded definitions. Like drawing a line by cutting it, or sewing it. Or using gravity, stenciling, layers etc. I'm still using value, and edges; still selecting what is depicted - elements that a traditional drawing would contain.
As most of the things we see/handle/own are mass produced ... using iron ore, plastic film, gravity, light, cutting, sewing and stenciling in various forms to make art seems natural.
